Dr. Fernando Toro Garland was my Spanish Professor at Rutgers University in about 1963 for a year. He was a great teacher, very helpful and interesting. He always kept the class roster very close to his eyes when he would call on us. I was Senor Bloom, and he always emphasized a bit louder the name Bloom. May he rest in peace.
